Time leaves its mark. But care preserves each knit, making it more yours.

Every LÈMME knit deserves the same attention and care with which it is crafted.

Before Washing

Before washing your garment, gently remove any excess pilling - this is a natural occurrence with cashmere and can be easily managed with a sweater comb.

Our 100% merino wool is naturally resistant to pilling, thanks to the quality of its combed fiber.

With the right care, your Lèmme piece will remain a cherished companion over time, season after season.

Washing

For the  best results, we recommend hand washing.

Use a mild detergent—think of how you would wash a newborn.

The water should be neither too hot nor too cold, but at a comfortable temperature that protects the fibers.

After washing, it is essential to rinse the knit 2-3 times, until the water runs completely clear, free of soap and any residue.

After washing, do not wring or twist the sweater.

Instead, wrap it in a clean towel and gently press to remove excess water.

Drying

At this point, you can choose to let it dry flat on a horizontal surface, away from direct heat sources and sunlight.

If you wish to restore volume and softness to cashmere, you can place the damp sweater inside a pillowcase or a laundry bag and put it in the dryer on a no-heat setting, with a low-speed spin cycle for 5 to 10 minutes. This step is optional and serves only to enhance the softness of the knit.

For the change of season, you can store your clean knit with a bay leaf in the wardrobe.
